Sunset in northern Europe (London etc) during their winter solstice is like 4pm. Now thatâs depressing, no idea how I would handle that.

Absolutely hate the dark and the cold just sucks the energy right out of you. Canât help but wonder how folks in the far north in the artic deal with it where some days the sun barely rises.

Have you considered high dose Vit D and a blue light lamp used at times the sun would be shining? Could be a spot of SAD
wscholermann@aussie.zone â¨3⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
I wouldnât say Iâm sad, just donât have the same energy levels. Still⌠probably wouldnât hurt to look into vitamin D.

Oh sorry - itâs an acronym en.wikipedia.org/âŚ/Seasonal_affective_disorder
where the lack of sunlight and circadian rhythm stuff messes with your mood, including low energy

Miss Seagoon spent some time living on the Arctic Circle. She kept to a clock timetable, kept busy and enjoyed the auroras.

fairy lights, lights, and a whole lot more lights

I love fairy lights, I have them out the front and on the terrace, they brighten up the grey city

I use a few 5m rolls of 12v 5050 warm led tape. Theyâre about $5 a roll on aliexpress. Really add a lot of diffused light to a room. I originally got them for bush doof lighting, but I think doofs have had their time and/or are too expensive.

I actually have polytechnic lights etc.
