Why the fuck would he off himself just before I can actually testify against Boeing?? If he hadn’t managed to get the case to court or even after he had testified then I could see it, but this timing is suspicious AF. He could have died naturally and it’s just super bad timing but ain’t no way he killed himself at this point in time.

Warl0k3@lemmy.world 3 months agoRealistically, probably just what it looks like. Guy repeatedly tries to warn boeing of safety issues, gets ignored over and over, plane kills a bunch of people, guy kills himself because he feels responsible and those deaths weigh on his mind.
We don’t know it was self inflicted, and I’d argue its still murder either way, but until then there’s no need to put his family through even more grief by spinning out econspiracy theories around his death.

People will tend to look for logic and patterns in the most senseless and chaotic of actions. We have no idea if he suffered from depression, was bipolar, had debts, or some serious health issues. People feel more in control when they can attach some nefarious (read: controlled) cause.
