Comment on Truly innovative feature for breaking it
REDACTED@infosec.pub 1 week agoI have one too. I’ve gotten all sorts of things inside the inner screen. Once I even accidentally closed it with a key in it (basically folded it while putting it in pocket where keys are). Realized only after arriving home and pulling out my phone with key in it. Dust, manufacturing materiāls (I work in a factory), ectera ectera.
What has saved me all this time is simply a nillkin case that creates a small gap between the screens when you close, so whatever dust gets inside is never really pressed between the screens.

What is ectera?

A misspelling of etcetera, commonly abbreviated “etc.” which is Latin (“et cetera”) for “and others.”
If you want to be a douchey nerd you can pronounce it like it would’ve been in Ancient Rome, with a “k” sound for the c. It’s fun.

Ooh that’s a word I hadn’t considered doing that too. It’s fun using classical latin pronunciations with people you want to annoy

Well shit, I’ve been using it for 3-4 years now and only now someone points out I’m writing it incorrectly?

Some weird people pronounce it as “exetera”.

almost as grating as “expresso”
