irate944@piefed.social 2 days agoIt’s been found that LLMs are actually great at decompiling things. Whereas before this process was possible but very time consuming, LLMs can do it in hours/days depending on the software.
So there’s a group that is decompiling Adobe software and rewriting it in Rust, and then published the apps + rewritten code

So we have AIs turning proprietary software into open source software, and AIs rewriting open source software into proprietary software. Wonder what will happen if we run this in a loop
