Comment on Anon's mom has questions
idiomaddict@lemmy.world 1 day agoThe thing about moms is that they will ask if you are gay over the smallest most trivial things. In many cases it seems like they want you to be gay.
I think this might be a generational difference in showing acceptance. My dad asked me if I was a lesbian all the time, because he wanted to reassure me that he still loved me if so. I found it very annoying when I was in middle/high school, but in my case it was basically harmless, so whatever. Hopefully your mom’s just doing the same :)

Not in my experience. women my own age and a generation younger than me ask me if I’m gay regularly, or assume I am gay.
because of stupid shit like that I drink tea, read books, cook, clean, have a cat, don’t drive a pickup truck, etc.
a lot of people have a really bizarrely narrow conception of what a heterosexual man must be and any deviation from that image makes them instantly assume you’re partially homosexual.

The manliest man I’ve met topped me throughput the night.

There is nothing as manly as gay sex.
Because it is literally impossible to do it as a woman.
