I’ve called the cops, they’re on their way.

He continues: “If we wanted to make some noise, we’d do it in style. I’d invite Sam Houser to come face me in a karaoke joint of his choice. CEO to CEO. I’m pretty sure the code prevents the CEO of Rockstar from declining a rock-off challenge.”
What a reference. I thought that Tenacious D movie was overall pretty bad, but the musical segments at the beginning and end were phenomenal.

The Pick of Destiny was pretty bad?! Oh man, agree to disagree. I’m not even a stoner and I love it.

Hey, to each their own. I’m not a stoner either, and I kind of assumed it was mandatory, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I just wish it was more like the musical segments that bookended it.

I hate smoking and I don’t do drugs. Absolutely love The Pick of Destiny. Like, I watched the HPO show, the outtakes, listened to the live albums, and would love a sequel.
Your calling it bad makes me curious: what’s are your favorite comedies? Tenacious D is basically an Adult Swim concept (see Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell, for example) that somehow ended up on HPO.
I’m curious if you enjoy this style of comedy at all.

The Big Short straddles the line between drama and comedy, but it’s a favorite of mine. Of my favorites, the one closest to Tenacious D in tone would probably be something like Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox story, which still has plenty of dick jokes, including right in the title, but I’m not sure I could articulate why I really enjoyed one and hated the other besides that one made me laugh way more.
