It’s hard to find trustworthy information about Israeli support for the actions of their country in Gaza and the west-bank from 2026, but the numbers that did show up earlier make me sadder everytime. These two article reference the same data, from one year ago. I have no reason to believe Israeli support for the people in Palestine. The small group of people who stand up against war seem to do that mostly because the life of Israeli soldiers (who are conscripted teenagers really). It’s unclear to me how well informed the public is about the scale of the war crimes, but it is obvious to everyone the army purposefully targets non-combatants (children, doctors, journalists, civilians) and in general it seems the public supports that.
A new poll published in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reveals that genocidal rhetoric, once confined to Israel’s extremist settler fringe, has now moved into the mainstream, with overwhelming public support for ethnic cleansing, mass killings, and biblical revenge.
Conducted by the Geocartography Knowledge Group for Penn State University in March 2025, the survey of 1,005 Israeli Jews paints a chilling picture of a society increasingly radicalised by religious nationalism and emboldened by war.

The survey, conducted in March and published by Haaretz newspaper on Thursday, found that 82 percent of Israeli Jews support the forced expulsion of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, 47 percent of Israeli Jews answered yes to the question: “Do you support the claim that the [Israeli army] in conquering an enemy city, should act in a manner similar to the way the Israelites did when they conquered Jericho under the leadership of Joshua, ie to kill all its inhabitants?” The reference is to the biblical account of the conquest of Jericho.

Eh, not really. There are some, but polling shows that a super majority support the genocide?
There have been some small ones, but even them are mostly “genocide is too far, it should just be permanent apartheid”
