Comment on Why are lemmings so touchy about downvotes?

I mean both in reddit and lemmy the concept of downvotes was never meant to be a “agree” or “disagree”, even “like or dislike”. It’s meant to be a “good for discussion” vs “hinderance of discussion”.

Voting increases or decreases visibility; thus, I vote to increase or decrease visibility.

True and that’s why Reddit/Lemmy have flawed voting systems. Their intended and actual uses are quite different.
