That’s just standard hub and spoke shipping.
Comment on This FedEx driver has never won a round of Tetris in his life
scottmeme@sh.itjust.works 1 week agoAlso because they send fucking everything to Memphis, I had a package that would have been an hour drive take 3 days because of fucking Memphis

I just had this happen. A package of mine showed up at a port a few hours drive from me, then it was shipped to the opposite coast, then on to Memphis where it’s been sitting for a couple days. Presumably at some point they’ll ship it back to my state where it started from to actually deliver it.

No no. Quick detour to Australia first. Then we’re thinking about teating shipping to the moon and back. Maybe it won’t come back. You remember what happened to Buzz Aldrin. They went to the moon, he took one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.
Then his crew said “YOLO!!! SEEYA LATER BUZZ BUZZ!!!” and they left him on the moon. Later in the 90s, he came back as a bumblebee in a short lived role in the video game Earthbound. He dies. Almost immediately.
Have fun with tracking your package!

Uh, ya, that’s how it works.

It went to the same airport twice… Thats called wasting jet fuel to send a package halfway across the country when it could have been sorted locally

That’s how all major shipping companies work. Because it saves fuel/time/money.

UPS does the same thing just with Louisville.
