Why? The Trump administration represents true Christian values more than any other president - greed, hypocrisy, exploitation of the stupid, pedophilia, etc.
Many of them consider him a literal prophet, sent by God to lead America into our White Christian Nationalist future. When he is out, you can expect them to pivot to him being an actual God-anointed living prophet, and you can’t put a prophet in prison.
But they can collect as much money as they want, from whomever they want, and they can get tax-exempt status, and not explain their revenues to the IRS, or anyone else. It’s the perfect set-up for a money launderer.

Well, according to their legends their God genocided virtually all life on the planet because after creating humans with free will and independent minds so that they could think and decide what seemed best on their own, they didn’t all decide to spend all their time adoring him and did some things he wasn’t fond of.
Like all abusers he then blamed his surviving victims for making him do that, and promised that if they changed and loved only him and did only the things he approves of and begged for his forgiveness for anything he didn’t like, he would buy them eternal bliss.
Again like all abusers he also said that if they failed to dedicate their lives to doing the things that would make him happy so he treats them well, they’d be forcing him to condemn them to a literal eternity of unimaginable suffering.
Do we really have to ask how so many who proclaim to be Christian do so many terrible things and listen to the “preaching” of clearly hateful men?
