In the US some states call that ‘internal possession’, it’s mostly used so that they have something to charge teenagers with when they catch them high.

In Sweden they can (and do). The police here take about 55 000 blood and urine samples per year for drug use convictions. It’s awful.

Once the substance is in your body it is denatured. Therefore no possession charge. Only of you are driving etc is it a problem

She’s probably more worried about probable cause for a search
