  I think that people who hate math just hate the way it’s taught and have mentally blocked themselves from ever trying again.

    A lot of it is pacing - once you get left behind it’s hard to catch up.

    Also, no-one shows them anything sexy like triangles on a sphere, horocycles, or matrices encoding multiple transformations.

  upvoted because algebra was a miserable experience for me. The final exam was 3 equations, and it took me 16 weeks of daily practicing those three equations to pass the exam. I hated every minute of it. My professor was cool. It wasn’t her fault. I did not enjoy it.
