  What do you fear?

That you’re not up to the task?

  That you’ll dissapoint your peers?

Pick up that phone and face your fears

  For you will never miss

  the paths you failed on

but the ones you never dared to tread.

In what world do you live that time sensitivity is never a thing? Also it’s just a helluva lot easier sometimes to talk for one minute instead of write for 10 and still get the wrong tone.

Never a thing? It seems like you’re conflating what I have to do with what I want to do. I want freedom to answer at the time of my choosing. Doesn’t mean I’ll always get it, but that’s what I prefer

Well the way you expressed your preference sounds like you don’t accept time sensitivity as a valid thing.

Can always decline the call and text “I’ll call you back in x minutes,” giving you full control over your own life

But that requires a commitment! Can’t be put into that box!

I guess, but if it’s a friend, I feel rude treating them like a part of my workload

Except if I’m taking a two hour nap for sleep I desperately need. They can deal with voicemail.
