Your argument hinges on the incredibly dishonest argument that games written for 16bit DOS, before the PSX existed, were designed for modern 64 bit windows.
Of course a modern PC can play them without extra cost, in Gog’s case without extra hassle either. Needless to say you can’t play PSX games on your PS5, your best bet for playing them is a random PC. Even better than a PSX as 25-30 year old hardware can crap itself out.
When games are no longer released for the PS5, a current PC will be able to play new PC games, PS5 era PC games and at least PS4 era PC games with no hassle. With atiny bit of hassle or support from vendors way further back than that.

Yeah… I’m going to shut up now. I wasn’t trying to have any argument. I was only saying that putting a specially crafted media into hardware designed to play that specific media has always been nice.
