For the curious, itâs because some kids were singing âLMNOPâ and thinking âelemenopeeâ was all one letter.

This version sounds like itâs for babies!
Seriously though, i can imagine a two tiered elementary social structure developing around if you like the esol version or the og version

Jez, they canât make the AI sound human, so now theyâre trying to make the kids sound like AI.
The awkward rests between Q and W are terrible.

Wait, youâre not saying this channel is AI are you?
helpImTrappedOnline@lemmy.world âš3â© âšweeksâ© ago
Not really, I know nothing about the channel. Itâs just the songs rhythm lacks any real variance and emotion, something that AI could replicate.
If they teach kids thatâs how to sing/talk, then the AI voices will suddenly sound âhumanâ.

The scuttlebutt is that the LMNOP section is hard for kids to learn, especially ESL kids. Slowing down that section helps them distinguish between each letter. Personally I was taught each letter individually alongside the song. Even as a hearing impaired individual I never really had an issue with that part. I am not a child educator though, so maybe thereâs more research backing this up than one 30 year old anecdote.
Here is patient zero according to some light googling. That song came out 16 years ago, looong before we knew how goofy AI sounded.
