I just had a shop tell me that it might not be worth doing the work to safety a 14yo car I bought recently. and the dealership told me that one of the bumper mounts I need is no longer available.
it’s not a fucking 90s car, it’s a 2012. how the fuck is a simple $50 part shared across several models not available for a 2012

Wow, the newest car I have is a 2002 lx470 lol, rest of my stuff is 80s/90s, mostly Toyota…hell my 1950s MUTT I can still get parts for.
Try finding a different mechanic. Dealerships are usually there to get you to trade in the car for another one. They don’t call them stealerships for nothing.
