Really traditional vampires are super OCD; one of the ways to get rid of them is to spill a big bag of eg. rice in front of them, and they’ll spend so long counting every grain that they’ll get caught by the rising sun. Salt ought to work as well?
One grain of salt, two grains of salt. Ah ha ha ha. Three grains of salt…
