If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don’t understand quantum mechanics.

That implies it is easier for man to understand quantum mecanics ?

“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.”

that’s because physicists only operate within materialism.
to entertain the possibility that more exists beyond physical matter is taboo in sciences
SwingingTheLamp@piefed.zip 3 weeks ago
It’s not taboo, it’s just untestable, and therefore not amenable to scientific inquiry. It’s a definitional issue; people who think about untestable things beyond physical matter are philosophers or religious scholars.

My knowledge of quantum mechanics is both bad and good. It’s unknown exactly until I open the book.

I don’t think I understand why -2

Best I can explain it has Homo_Derectus. Assuming we are using U.S. units.
pressanykeynow@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Probably because you bring the gender topic to a physics joke.

It’s not so much the understanding that’s the issue but the explaining
SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Tell us what you can explain without understanding.
pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
I mean, that’s what scientist do all day long. They’re explaining it in theory and then seeing if that’s real or not. Also, you can explain how something works without understand what it is. Magnets, electricity, knowing when someone is staring at you, etc.
0ops@piefed.zip 3 weeks ago
Ok I can see how what I wrote was ambiguous:
It’s not so much the (person B’s) understanding that’s the issue but the (person A’s) explaining
PyroVK@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
No, he would have a very hard time explaining quantum mechanics to anyone because he doesn’t understand it.

One more microscope bro and I swear Ive got it figured out just another microscope
pressanykeynow@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
To be fair understanding it might not make it easier to explain, might actually make it harder.
