I like my partner and I tossing the dogs into the car and just going out somewhere. I like coming home from work and just having a quiet evening with no responsibilities. I like only having to buy groceries for two people.

I donāt even think this is selfish. Itās only selfish to put yourself first when you have kids who depend on you. People choose the responsibilities they take on in life, and you donāt owe the world anything here. If you donāt have kids, youāre able to do more for yourself, and anyone who calls you selfish for it may actually be a bit jealous, in which case they should reassess their own parental priorities.
