No. If he dies before Aug 1 then a “special election” is held wherein Massie is likely to run, split the Republican vote, resulting in a Democrat taking the seat.
After Aug 1 the seat will just be filled in the regular election with a MAGA approved candidate in the R column.
Oh that’s right, those red state dipshits changed that law a couple of years ago, when McConnell started showing his age.
