You don’t have to like Gaben to see that Tim is much worse. Tim only cares about business. That’s why Epic store is great for publishers and developers and dogshit for customers, because Tim doesn’t see you as nothing more than cattle. Your interests don’t matter, you’re just a vessel to extract money from. You can dislike Gaben all you want but Valve at least treats you like a customer.
Tims bad. Gaben good.

I am not a Valve fanboy.
They are only sort of OK when viewed in comparison to other American technology oligarch groups. I even hesitate to use the term “OK” in this context.

Valve is the best gaming company, who has a storefront (and even consoles / systems to sell). All other suck in comparison and I think Valve is good for the entire gaming industry and the gamers.

It’s funny because originally I didn’t understand how it was different and when it was explained to me in a factual way I did understand and changed my view and people really don’t like that.
