And we’d have Liberals explaining how it’s actually all perfectly legal according to the law and there definitely isn’t a two-tiered justice system

Something is seriously wrong with UK. The monarchy could murder a Palestinian baby live on national television and people in the UK would go on and on about how majestic it was, how they did it with such grace and impeccable poise.

The people, or the government and media?

The government and media predominantly, with a small section of the people too.

You know if you don’t know what you’re talking about it’s perfectly fine not to contribute.

They’re not the ones behind the genocide… in israel… at the hands of zionists. Sorry.

They’re not the ones behind the genocide
The UK supplies weapons to Israel knowing that Isreal has comitted war crimes and loudly states their intention to continue doing so. So arguably the UK are some of the ones behind the genocide.

The UK government has actively participated in the genocide

Something is seriously wrong with UK
The prime minister of the UK, Kier Starmer, is married to a woman who is Jewish so at the moment it’s not really possible for the UK to be rational when it comes to Palestine or Israel.
“The couple has two children: a son (born 2008) and a daughter (born 2010); both are being brought up in their mother’s Jewish heritage and culture. The family observe Shabbat and are members of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in north London.” – en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Starmer

Probably a combination of “it’s really important to this person” and “love”. Switching to what your loved one supports happens with all faiths, and occasionally, even football teams.
I have no problem with that.
I do, however, have a problem with that actually meaning “they have to support Israel’s genocide” or “they have to arrest anyone who says mean things about Israel”.
I suspect you could burn a Union Jack in the middle of your City Centre and there’d be no legal response to it (assuming you had an adequate fire risk assessment).
I also suspect if you burnt an Israeli flag in the middle of your City Centre that you’d be quickly arrested for “terrorism”.

I think you’ll find plenty of people have no time for the royals and support Palestine. The right wing press would fawn over it, but they’re not representative.

I’d like to believe that but when I constantly see people get beat up there and arrested for supporting Palestine, and even for merely posting support for Palestine online, reality tells a different story. You’re right that people oppose it, but clearly not enough. They just got done last week that they plan to ban minors from things like YouTube. The government there has become very authoritarian.
