Also the assumption that people would “stick with the Bible” ignores the “dozens” of people in the world who are not Christians… They might be a bit upset about that.
Comment on If you were in Jail would you stick withe bible or be interest in other religions?
axh@lemmy.world 8 hours agoit turns out “nostupidquestion” for some people means “do not post stupid questions” instead of “there are no stupid questions”.
I up voted, because I still believe the second meaning is correct and people shouldn’t worry about posting questions here.
But I have to admit, I see absolutely no relation between the “if” part and the “would you” part of this question, which makes it really weird for me.

It makes me wonder if OP is from somewhere where only religious texts are available in prison

I didn’t even know there were places like that… Let me guess, USA?

A US state is currently trying to restrict what books a prisoner can have. Hasn’t passed yet, as far as I know, but I’m guessing that’s the genesis of this particular dubious question.

When a question tries to make you swallow a bullshit payload, if feels like a manipulative question rather than a stupid one.
This post implies that the obvious norms are:
If someone asks “are black people the only inferior ones, or is it the case for asian people too?” it’s not a stupid question, it’s not even a question, it’s an attack. And while there is more room for doubt in the question of the post, it is still loaded with religious propaganda which is shitty as fuck.
