Aeri@lemmy.world 2 months agoThe chicken is half decent but like, I just kind of hate them even more than I hate other fast food restaurants because of their politics. I know there are no virtuous corporate overlords but the closed on Sunday thing is really fucking pretentious.

There’s a chain called Pollo campero and they have this campero sauce and it’s so good. Better than Chick fil a sauce, and I like their chicken more too. Chick fil a has super soft chicken that toothless people can eat it with ease, and I don’t like that type of chicken.

Sweet Baby Ray’s isn’t my favorite sauce out there but it’s pretty damn good for a sweet, tomato based sauce. Like, to the point where there are a significant number of better commercial sauces (and a hell of a lot of worse sauces, let’s be honest) what use it as the base for their recipes.
I’m not going to relegate it to furniture like KC Masterpiece or some garbage like that.

New York State gave them a contract to be in every rest stop on our main highway. I was opposed on moral grounds initially, but when I found out about the Sunday thing, I was flabbergasted at how boneheaded a move it was. Literally travelers can’t get food on the highway one day per week.
