Because people got bored of plain white, black or beige boxes and then manufacturers noticed if they slap colored lights on their shit, they can get people to spend more money on them. So now everything has lights.

Your mobo likely has a utility that can control a chunk of the lights. Usually GPUs do too.

  The stuff on the inside of the case, yes. The mouse and keyboard I have I can just change the color. There is no “off” :(

reminds me of the auto market - they can sell SUV’s for more… there are no more cheap handy pickups…

I have a sheet of paper that lives on top of my power light. Its soo bright, and its not even in my bedroom. I should throw a resistor inline there, I just can’t be bothered.

  I switched all of the bright UV or white leds with regular ones (green and red).
