The problem isn’t the kid.
It is that every child actor can’t act for shit because they are children and don’t have the mental capacity like you say.
The solution is to stop using child actors.

I don’t hate the kid for being a kid, I hate the casting for picking a kid who isn’t exceptional for a movie.
