I like to think of the plots as canon, but I ignore the writing, it's just too shit. The plots are mostly decent, besides Anakin blowing up the Trade Federation ship for some inconceivable reason, and Jar Jar Binks existing.

Godric@lemmy.world 2 months agoThere are child actors that don’t make you cringe each time they open their mouth. I love the universe of Star Wars, but 1 and 2 are admittedly poorly scripted with worse acting.

I don’t hate the kid for being a kid, I hate the casting for picking a kid who isn’t exceptional for a movie.

The problem isn’t the kid.
It is that every child actor can’t act for shit because they are children and don’t have the mental capacity like you say.
The solution is to stop using child actors.
