These people have a lot of faith in the technology of the time. Not just weather machines but fukkin powerhouse freeze guns that can solidify somthing of this magnitude
Not to mention, given the labels on that one map, they seem to think Google satellite view is, like, a live camera feed from space or something they just overlay roads and borders and stuff onto?
And that it would mean anything at all for the map to just suddenly have a big snake in it unexpectedly…
Yet too little faith in technology that somehow we’d have to create an entire winter storm with the technology instead of just directly freezing the target.
If they could control it enough for that, they could undo the weather event.
They probably figure making the storm.makes it easier to hide the truth whilst freezing the target means we can all see it’s frozen corpse… Nevermind that it would float after being frozen anyhow
