I used to op-shop as a hobby and would grab anything super nice and well priced then find a home for it later on. One friends birthday party I turned up with a dozen very nice mens shirts (too small for me) and handed them out to all the lads.

The girlfriend has put out a box of clothes to be donated. Most of the things I want to get rid of are things she got me from an op shop previously, so I found some things to sacrifice to cover them up.
Sometimes I think she wants me to dress like a lesbian that went to the op shop to dress like peak 90s JTT, but these clothes are just cheap and nasty. I’ll wear the world’s ugliest pattern if the fabric is nice but these aren’t op shop gold, it’s the other 99%.

This is the way to do it. It takes more time to get the good stuff but I think there’s little point otherwise

the thing with op shop clothes is they are so cheap you should expect to cull those that don’t work out, even if you throw out more than half of them you still save money and have something a bit individual
I used to buy Miss Seagoon a lot of new clothes and accessories, I always believed it’s up to her what she does with her own possessions, she would give a lot away to friends and I did not mind at all.

I guess I’m worried she might be upset since they were kind of gotten like gifts or she thinks I’ll look good in them. At least they’re cheap but there’s a reason they were at the op shop

once she gives them to you they are yours to do with as you wish, they are yours
and surely she must know you are different people with individual tastes? It’s not an insult if someone doesn’t like what you bought them.
