I watched the show, it got quite boring towards the end, but I thought I needed to finish watching just to find out the answer.
A decade later I don’t remember AT ALL who the mother is, that’s how boring and bad it got towards the end.
Comment on I totally agree

I stunt even remember the details of the end of HIMYM.

You don’t remember Cristin Milioti? It was her break out role. It’s weird to think if it wasn’t for HMIYM she might still be doing Broadway and we wouldn’t have her amazing performance 🎭 n The Penguin.

“…and that’s the justification for why I’m gonna go grief-bang your Aunt Robin now that Mom’s dead.”

Supposedly that was the ending they came up with in season 2. When it still sorta made sense for that ending to work. Not 9 seasons later when you’ve explored them having a relationship numerous times and had an episode about “letting her go” in the last season.
The guy that plays Ted was like “wait we’re still doing this???”

They even filmed another better ending. They saw it and still went that stupid blue horn ending.

would a paragraph person be so generous as to please explain the blue horn thing to someone who isn’t going to watch it or any videos about it?

This is the proper ending. The other ending was as shitty as the whole last season being one day over and over again from every persons perspective.
