They’re obviously onboard with different shit, else Trump wouldn’t be president. Twice.
As shit goes, I preferred the old-timey one. At least it was dignified.

Trump is literally president because he got less votes than last time but the left and center chose not to show up because the dumb motherfuckers thought that both sides would be the same (because they either have no ability to think for themselves, or they don’t pay any attention). Most might try to make an argument that Gaza are the reason they chose not to vote, but tend to change the topic when you bring up how their choice made the people in Gaza are doing worse now than they ever were.

I’ll agree that the majority didn’t care enough to prevent this, but most of us are not onboard for this. Even the ones too stupid to think past the tip of their noses.

Single issue voters have never made any sense to me. I’ve never seen a political party platform that i agree with 100%. I try to weigh out all the party platforms, how they address different classes, issues, and geopolitics. I try to pick a platform that I think has the most potential to address some major issues with the least amount of things I’d want to protest against.
I will vote for a party that is proposing something I’m strongly against if I think many of their other proposals are great. You can still hit the streets and protest the stuff you disagree with even if you voted for the party proposing it.

I’m right there with you. To s of people asked me how I could vote for the Democrats when they were being dumb as shit on Gaza as if the only other option in the table was ANY better
10000% this. So many people on here see a false dichotomy of support the party or protest it, when the real answer is to vote for the least bad party and be out in the streets to make it better.

" the left and center chose not to show up because the dumb motherfuckers thought that both sides would be the same"
Blame reddit and the DNC basically buying it. Nobody was excited for Kamala so they gaslit everyone into thinking she became Jesus 2.0 and would slam dunk it.
Kamala remained unlikable the entire time despite what the gaslighting campaign says.
When people were told her winning was a sure thing they said “I don’t have to hold my nose if everyone else is.”
We desperately need change with how our candidates are selected because if another fucking neoliberal (Newsome) runs we definitely won’t have another election.

No. I’m blaming the people who chose not to vote.
We knew what the risks were. We saw what happened the last time we thought “I don’t have to hold my nose if everyone else is.” There’s very few things that excuse not showing up when one of the candidates is running on a fascist platform. Not showing up means you’re OK with the outcome either way. I get beat up on by people farther left than me because I advocate for electoralism, but short of a mass violent uprising, we don’t have much choice other than to play within the system to make things better.
Agreed. But we, as the voters, have to understand that you can’t win the game by choosing not to play it. Whether you like the rules of the game or not, the game is being played with or without you and the outcomes absolutely affect you whether you choose to participate or not.
Politicians need to get better, but voters also need to grow the fuck up and make the best of a bad situation, else we end up in worse situations. I’ve liked less politicians I’ve voted for than I have fingers on my hand. But I still vote because the opposition winning is objectively worse than the most milquetoast democrat because they don’t want to murder my family, and they can be reasoned with. Taking my ball and going home gains me nothing but risks so much.
