not really, them proving that human art is fucking bullshit leads to people thinking human art is complete fucking horseshit. Any now we have AI art, which takes just as much effort to make as a Pollock, and looks way better and expresses more than a Pollock.

Abstract modernism isn’t only an us based style. I get you don’t care for it, that’s ok.
But art has been put to political use for ages, and got funding from governments.
The time from the European song contest is from Carpentier, paid for by Louis XIV to commemorate his victories f.i. you can’t really blame the artists for getting paid for doing their thing, can you?
