I’ve always been a bit ambivalent about food processors. I have found in my current kitchen I have a more convenient spot to put it in which makes it easier to get out of the cupboard, so I am more likely to use it now. But most food processors can only slice or pulverise vegies, so their use case is also a bit limited. I’ve been able to get a dicing attachment for mine which does fabulous evenly sized cubes, but also increases the amount of cleaning and storage space required. I do use it when I’m doing big batches of things, but not much for day to day cooking.

Having a food processor is pretty handy if you make a lot of dips, sauces, pesto, mayo, chopping nuts.

Receiving a freebie is a bonus.

    That’s what I was thinking too. Heaps of middle eastern food that you wouldn’t attempt doing without a food processor.

    Ooh yes falafel! I have had one before when I had a bigger kitchen. Mainly want to easily chop a bunch of stuff once a week for meal prep…we’ll see how it goes

They’re spectacular if you have a worm farm though. Chuck everything in, mince for wormies
