Whose making fun of them? Leftist aren’t anywhere on any platforms of any significance anymore. They can get away with whatever they like because the average person isn’t even aware who any of these people are. Let alone the dumb stuff they say. It’s not the Republicans or right wings job to spread awareness of their fuck ups. It’s the job of people on the left. But people on the left choose to remove themselves from majority of social media sites. I don’t even know what’s the point of sharing this here. Like everyday are we just going to say “oh Jesus they’re crazy” this stuff should be all over Facebook and Reddit and x and truth social. Not just on one Lemmy instance seen by 6000 people

Right, that’s what I’m saying. Bots targeted leftist and scared them away. That let their views spread rapidly. Now we all have to listen to the bots everywhere because the average voter now has adopted those same views as the bots. It’s only getting worse. We all did it. We took short term advantage over long term pains

No it isn’t. The point isn’t that they themselves need to know too. It’s the voters that need to know. The people who come online to view cats after a hard day of PowerPoint and shoveling dirt. They get a small window to see this stuff. They almost always see something about some purple hair crazy leftist yelling about how they hate people who shovel dirt or use PowerPoint.

Ooooor the fat that the people that own those platforms are also giant right wing pieces of shit have tweaked their algorithms to suppress any leftist posts might have something to do with it as well - kinda like how ICE raid videos are de-ranked on TikTok making people get around it by labeling them as “music festivals”

The left suppressed themselves. Algorithms can only do so much. Quantity was required and we all didn’t bother. It was too much work.
