  I wish they’d return an error rather than a modified image, the “content not viewable in you region” image gets put in caches and it’s a pain getting the original image once I connect my VPN. There’s even a specific http code they could use.

      Because imgur is incompetent. They’re returning the wrong error code on the homepage, and should in any case be showing an explanation instead of returning raw JSON.
