I think that’s totally fair. I had the same experience with Middle Earth: Shadow of War. I got my fill with the first one, the second one just felt like more of the same.
In this case, I never played the first one, and I think I’m only hyped bc I had just finished watching Blue Eye Samurai around the same time that the first Yotei trailer dropped. I’m still waiting until the PC drop though, but I think it’ll be fun open world junk food when I get around to it.

I played the first one “co-op” with my partner, and that helped dampen some of the repetitive elements. She made all the decisions and I controlled the game Will probably do the same with this, but much farther down the road when it is cheaper

What is coop like? I didn’t know it was a feature, I’m watching my partner play and it looks fun!

It’s not. The multiplayer mode is a totally different story and much more of an arcade version of the main game experience. If not for wanting to unlock the white kitsune mask, I would have completely ignored it because it kinda sucked.

Oooh, I remember seeing that somewhere in the first game!

Oh, not real co-op. She made decisions and I just controlled Jin

Ah that makes sense 😆
