sosodev@lemmy.world 1 year agoLemmy is not at all an accurate reflection of reality. Nobody in my day to day life is going to argue that communism is far superior to capitalism. That’s part of the problem. Us internet dwellers think this is what real people are like but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

How do you feel about Bernie Sanders where it’s a socialist democracy with capitalism? So medicaid, universal healthcare, unemployment, etc., are there and should be expanded to cover everyone?

Did you mean "social democracy"? I don't think there's actual socialism anywhere there - that's still capitalism, only with a strong welfare system, which has downsides, but it's obviously viable at least in some societies.
