  I use kill traps because mice are an introduced pest that causes damage and spreads disease.

  I found kraft processed cheese works best

  Knead about half a teaspoon until it’s soft then I press it into/around the bait holder. I don’t sit the bait on the bait holder, it’s really stuck. Then I set the trap. I might mix tiny bits of bacon in the cheese.

  I cleared out a large outdoor aviary for a neighbour of about 30 mice using this method.

  You have to wash and scrub the traps in hot soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Wear gloves when setting them. Use a smidgen of Pb. If mice smell human on them they won’t touch them.

  This is a plug for my work but if it’s a real problem you can look up the Goodnature mouse trap. They’re meant to work pretty well.

  I hate it when they just roam around like it’s their house. Maybe try bacon rind? Less likely to break apart when nibbled

  I caught two last night with amazon traps loaded with peanut butter. This was the first time I had set the traps.
