No it’s because they don’t want to cuff their friends

Do you think it’s cos the police are scared of the people who can actually fight? Four bobbies to a granny but not one brave enough to face up to somebody their own size?

one tier for people dumb enough to associate themselves with a terrorist organisation and get arrested out of principle, when they could just rename themselves and still have a nice day out supporting palestine
another tier for racist football hooligans
don’t tell me the idiots wrapped in england flags have outsmarted the old ladies?

I’m certain that’s part of it. Cops are bullies, bullies are ultimately cowards.

As someone who is friends with a handful of cops, plenty of them are ok. The sort of people youd want to help in an emergency. They do have thugs and bullies, not suited to a fair bit of police work, but the police need the numbers, and so assign people like that to units who specialise in crowd control, riot control etc. so it frees up the more level-headed ones can be e.g. 999 responders, desk sergeants, interviewers etc.
“Nobody really likes them, but they do come in handy sometimes” one of my friends said.
