Arceus is the real god Pokemon.
Rayquaza is just protector of the earth.
It fights alien Pokemon Deoxys and calms down Kyogre (creator and protector of the sea) and Groudon (protector and creator of the Land).

Arceus is a capital G god. Any “one-of-a-kind” Pokémon representing an in-universe element or force could pass as a lowercase g god.

in that case, mewtwo is basically just a ripoff of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” what other public domain classics did Pokémon manage to repackage and resell to us?!
