If I say “I’m good for a meeting on Wednesday up until 3pm” that used to mean “I am not around after 3”. I reckon at least three times in the last week someone has responded to that with a meeting request AT 3 (or equivalent).
It’s doing my head in. Have I suddenly become unclear or did you all have a big pow wow and change the meaning of time on me??!

Say ‘unavailable after 3’ and block out the time in your calendar. Please tell me you are blocking the time in your calendar? A office peeve of mine people rejecting meetings saying they aren’t available but they’ve left the time free in their calendar.

Yes I block time but these are meetings with external clients. But I will change what I say -thanks. It’s just been curious that it’s all of a sudden.

I think that’s why people invented the phrase “hard stop at 3”. It’s cringe corpo speak but most people get it.
