My only source for this is watching a bunch of videos by that one lobster fisherman in Maine. I think because itâs a viable(can get pregnant) female which are protected by law and canât be kept to help populations stay healthy.

Its dead. If it were still alive the tail and legs would be curling instead of being limp like that. Ideally you should cook lobster as fresh as possible (alive) because they only stay good for 6-12 hours tops after death.

Donât cook them alive bro. Just a cleaver through the head and a second later in boiling water. It makes no difference in taste/texture but is (possibly) more humane.

Yeah I should have clarified, You want them alive up until youre cooking them. No need to make them suffer any more than needed.
