IANAL, but IMO there is no confusion between an MMO guild management game and a marvel comic book concept. But then again, I would never trust an American court in such situations.
@StrixUralensis It's "I Am Not A Lawyer". It's usually used when giving advise and suggestions that borders on law, since many countries have provisions against giving law-related advises.
Another one is TINLA, short for "This Is Not Legal Advice".
Supporedly, saying either or both IANAL and TINLA prevents potential problems if what you said ended up damaging someone. I'm not sure, but I think those two are the only court recognized "disclaimers". 🤣
Yeah it doesn’t even need to make it to the courts. Lawyers for big companies will still throw their weight around and tiny indies don’t have the resources to even contest frivolous lawsuits

I Am Not A Lawyer, this is (used to be?) a pretty common internet acronym.

Still is. I’ve seen almost exactly this exchange on Lemmy at least three times.

"I ANAL"
Another comment mentioned an equivalent, "TINLA" that might not cause a chuckle in some very mature people like me 😆😅
