How is protesting for their family and neighbors (weird you left that one out, you don’t have to be related to someone kidnapped to protest) from having their rights guaranteed to them by the Constitution not protecting democracy?
Also, touching a Mexican flag doesn’t actually revoke your citizenship or residency, regardless of what Fox News says.

“Are these anti-Nazi protestors holding up a Star of David trying to protect democracy in Germany, or are they just trying to keep their family from being deported?”
🤡

You do know that when Germans protest against Nazis they commonly use the German flag, right? 🤡 indeed.

No. I didn’t.
Because they don’t. German Flags are usually shown at the Nazi or right wing rallies, not at anti-fascist rallies.

am german. can confirm.

No they don’t. We don’t have half of the nationalist zeal you guys sport. Please refrain from talking about topics you do not know shit about.

You do know that when Germans use the German flag when protesting they commonly support Nazis causes, right?

You really have no clue how much American “patriotism” is looked down upon on this side of the pool, do you? Nationalism is a nazi thing, no one who opposes nazis here would use a national flag.

If you’d bring a German flag to an anti-nazi rally, people will look at you weird. At more radical ones, you’ll get smacked by a guy carrying an “Antifaschistische Aktion” flag.

Germans against Nazis wouldn’t use the German flag. If you brought one to the protest you’d probably be considered an intruder from the Nazi side

It’s heartwarming to see all the people from German instances show up to roast this dude.

Nothing more satisfying than hitting someone with the old “brother, I live there, you’re wrong”

I’m not German and thought “huh, I’m not German; maybe I’m actually wrong, and I’m not going to overstep here”… And then the Germans arrived.

Really? Which Protests do you mean? The vast majority of German flags I saw on anti Nazi demos in Germany were been mounted to Buildings or the hands of some Nazi Idiot at the counterprotest.
Going one step towards the center of the political spectrum from the firmly left learning anti Nazi Demos, there are the anti AFD Demos which also attract(ed) people with far more moderate centrist political views than the average Antifa member, thus being more likely to support the idea of the state of Germany in its current form. Still, most flags you’d see were for pride / lgbtq+ or political organisations.
You might see a German flag from time to time but i think it’s just plain wrong to call it common.
