Most Lemmy instances have some admin oversight with regard to registration. Moreover, there are always more instances, including secret instances.

It is also the case of asking if an account is a bot account where you canât tell after a quick glance of their history. There are ways of dealing with spam accounts, but there isnât a way to deal with bot accounts that arenât blatant spam.
