  The wiki makes it sound like a very militaristic nation, but “literal nazi” is definitely a stretch.

  Duvos wields the might of the world’s largest army, armed with a formidable arsenal that includes old world relics. Their military might is not just for show; it’s a tool for ‘force negotiation’ with other nations and city-states. The country’s aggressive past is marked by a war with the Alliance of Free Cities over resources in the ruins of Lucien, a conflict that nearly obliterated Lucien itself. Although the war concluded in a stalemate and a peace treaty was signed, Duvos’s history of leveraging military power for strategic gain casts a long shadow, hinting at their possible motives in Sandrock.

  It is revealed during the mission “Give me a Sign” that Duvos had a “Plan Zeta”, a covert military strategy involving a sudden occupation of Sandrock. This operation includes jamming all communication signals and severing the city’s rail connections. The urgent call for a signal blackout precedes the deployment of the “Whale,” an imposing airship capable of transporting an entire army, indicating Duvos’s intent to launch an airborne invasion of Sandrock. The presence of such airships in their arsenal and their jamming technology showcases Duvos’s formidable military capabilities and their readiness to employ overwhelming force to achieve strategic objectives.

    Hehe, yeah. Honestly, that could be describing the British and American armed forces at some points in history. It just talks about military might and blitz tactics. Nothing about murdering their own people or lethal experimentation or mass mass incarcerations without just cause. And while it certainly “seems” like they would probably be pretty authoritarian, it doesn’t really say that either. And authoritarian also isn’t automatically fascist or nazi. Just a common component of them.

    The tactics described are actually pretty normal war tactics.

    So, just an army guy. Lots of women like army guys for their discipline and reliability. Especially when there is not an active war going, all the upsides with none of the drawbacks. Presumably, in this game, we can expect he won’t get called away to war. Probably a bit more popular with conservative women than liberal women, but not by as much as you might think.

    And as for the older guy, not only are there indeed 20 year olds that find that attractive, but 30 and 40 and 50+ year old women are playing these games too, in fact it’s one of the highest female demographic game types. Not to mention, if non-hetero relationships are possible with any partner, that dude looks like a prime bear candidate for the guys that like that.

    You cut out a portion at the beginning that may be relevant depending on how one defines Fascism (as academia never fully and completely agreed on the definition).

    Duvos is an antagonistic force that collects destructive Old World weaponry in an effort to conquer the world,[1] though it has yet to be directly seen in the My Time series. Duvos is known for having smog, an unusual sight above most other civilizations since the end of the Age of Corruption[2].

    However, I think the stronger argument against Divas being Fascist is further down.

    The economy of Duvos is significantly impacted by its agricultural challenges. During a conversation between Duvos Soldiers and Mort and Zeke, the soldiers from Duvos reveal that their homeland suffers from harsh weather and scarce sunlight, leading to low crop yields. This suggests that the Empire’s aggressive militaristic stance may be driven, in part, by the need to secure resources, especially food. One soldier shares a personal note about his sister aspiring to be a botanist, aiming to address the nation’s food scarcity. The conversation hints at a hope that if Duvos could resolve its agricultural issues, the need for conflict might diminish.

    Duvos being domineering due to suffering from a food shortage seems more colonialist out of necessity than out of a fascist ideology. At the same time, without actually seeing the country’s inner workings, it’s hard to say.
