Comment on "I know the perfect place for the ESP button! Right in front of the drivers knee!"
ryathal@sh.itjust.works 2 days agoYeah you shouldn’t have knees that close to the dash, unless you are 7ft and the seat can’t go back further.

Tall gang 🤝
But to be fair, I’ve driven plenty of compact cars that were very comfortable and fitting for my size.

VW GTI. Trust the Germans to make cars that fit tall people
SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world 2 days ago
Why do these too small shoes not fit me?
Yeah cars aren’t meant for tall people, entirely unsafe for them in a lot of cases.

6’6 here I feel the pain.
But have you tried the Citroen BX? I had to put on the blinkers to get in, and leave them on while driving…
Hubi@feddit.org 2 days ago
There’s no way you just mentioned the Citroen BX. Crazy coincidence. I’ve actually been looking to buy one for a couple of months (the early model with the cool instrument panel) but I’ve never actually sat in one. And I’m just now finding out that it’s too small??
Valmond@lemmy.world 2 days ago
I can be wrong, it was a very long time ago like in -93 or -94 but if I were you, I sure wouldn’t buy one without trying it out first!
It had the craziest blinker stick, like really fat with lots of dials and buttons. You also sat really close to the ground IIRC. Maybe it was the more modern version, the cool steering wheel one doesn’t seem to even have a blinker stick?
