How is it controversial when the thread is sitting at 89%? Isnât that more positive than controversial?

Most controversial DT in c/Melbourne history? Lol
I donât care too much, but letâs get back to our usual more upbeat antics. Iâll start by sharing magpie:
It was staring at us while we were barbecuing on Sunday. Everybody was sure it was going to try and swoop some bread or a snag, but it just sat there, staring, for an uncomfortably long time. Felt a little bad ngl, but if I feel wildlife, Iâd rather feed them something more nutritious than home brand white bread

I was referring to the contents. Too much America. Fair few down votes around.

for many of us our personal and family lives are entwined with America
we have loved ones and friends there, I myself lived there for about 6 years

No need to jump on the defensive again, seagoon. I was answering a question, not attacking your beliefs
StudChud@aussie.zone â¨2⊠â¨months⊠ago
Too much America? Like the post you contributed to the topic, or just other peopleâs posts about it?

Everybodyâs. Mine included.

I think some people downvote the DT regularly because it appears in their general Lemmy feed and is pretty distinctly different to most of the other stuff in the network
Baku@aussie.zone â¨2⊠â¨months⊠ago
Ah yep, that makes sense I suppose. Kinda weird though, itâs not like Lemmy has an algorithm it can use to learn what posts you donât like. Probably easier to just block the community

I love it when they stare intently. I always wonder what theyâre thinking about.
