I had a place tell me I wasn’t selected almost exactly a year after I had spoken with them. I set a timer for as long as they had waited to send me that, and replied to it myself a year later.
Probably no one saw it or understood, but it made me chuckle.

I am pretty sure it took me about 30 seconds, once I was following what the task was. Including the time spent understanding the task, a minute, 2 tops. I got mixed up and had to start over two times, I think.

Gotcha, thanks!

Luckily it’d be in a finished basement. Shared walls, but where I’d have the set is as far from the shared wall as out could be.

I think I was in the less than a minute crowd, definitely no more then 2, and the exercise was fun. I appreciate the exercise suggestion!

It really was!

It does not seem uncommon for guys who are friendly with one another to throw insults at one another in a non-serious manner. That’s not really the relationship I have with my friends, but it is a thing. I’m not aware of that being much of a thing without some degree of established rapport though. He could have just been doing friendly ribbing as he said, but I think it’s more likely that he decided he was more annoyed at me than at you.

THIS is what I was looking at.

I actually do have a question for you, since you sound like you have some familiarity. One of the things I saw you can do with electronic kits or those rhythm guitar hero/rockband style games with em too. Just like guitar hero is not playing a guitar, I imagine those things are not playing the drums, but are they something you’d actively avoid doing while learnin’?
- Comment on Should I get a drum kit, or a pressure washer? 4 weeks ago:
I was actually given one of those pads a year ago, but I have been hesitant to use it. It’s so much smaller than an actual set I would be worried it would cause the development of bad habits. If you know drumming, do you know if that is a reasonable concern?
- Comment on Should I get a drum kit, or a pressure washer? 4 weeks ago:
The closest thing to a need I have for a pressure washer is to determine whether I would like going into pressure washing for a job - which would probably necessitate learning landscaping too at some point, as I am unsure how common pressure washing services are sought after as a standalone thing. I have done a little research in that direction, but not much, since I would need some sustained use to determine whether I would want to really commit to something like that. My thought there was to volunteer services using it for neighborhood/community cleanup, which could build a portfolio if I wanted one, and make the places around me nicer, perhaps. As for knowledge and tools for maintenance, probably not, but I would be able to learn/get what I need in either realm.

I am, yes. What are you suggesting he’d be losing instead? Water weight? If it’s that, you can lose that without ceasing drinking beer at all. It seemed to me that the implication was the fella could lose 10 pounds that would stay off by stopping alcohol consumption, which water weight would not.
Is there something else l am missing?

It’s already in mine too, but I don’t buy EA games, and haven’t for way longer than that game is old. No idea how I have it.

I got one that sounded even more threatening. Said your voting record is public, which is sketchy as fuck and implies who you vote for is public as well, but skirts actually saying it. It does, however, not explicitly say who you for for is secret either.
Casual Ohio voter suppression, nbd.

It isn’t about taking from the rich either. It’s about letting THEM take less, so there’s more for everyone else. Slight distinction, but they are the ones taking, not the workers.

Last I read about this was years and years ago, and the claim at the time from the source I learned about it from was that the cause of this behavior is unknown. Is it known now?
- Comment on Activision/Blizzard QA workers form the largest US video game union yet 10 months ago:
Alternatively, maybe a better work culture that could be advocated for by the union would result in better working conditions, more realistic deadlines, happier developers, and by virtue of these things a reduction in the kind of error you are referencing.
But also people make mistakes sometimes. Unions don’t cause that, and I’m skeptical of claims that they seriously aid or promote mistakes either.
