It’s actually a tradition in between Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin to have onion and cheese sandwiches, Limburger cheese is made in Monroe and is quite possibly the best pairing to raw onions, so I wholeheartedly believe it’s now almost entirely exclusive to the American pallete nowadays, and this post is the anomaly.

Especially stinky cheeses like Limburger
- Comment on You are allowed flavor 2 months ago:
If you have the opportunity, consider Limburger with onion on a nice rye bread

We don’t all obviously spray cheese from a can, some of us are from or near Wisconsin, the place where Monroe cheese is from, which is to say very well regarded in the international community. Whatever bad things Americans did to cheese is basically either a Republican’s doing or the interests of companies like Kraft or Nabisco who are cheap and want to can a product that lasts without refrigeration. See also, Old English cheese spread.

Some folks call them Kolaches if you live far enough in the South US. Definitely a trend that followed with Eastern European migrations.

Grand Inquisitor is by far the best 3d Zork title, Nemesis felt too much like Myst and wasn’t nearly comedic enough for mec

Yeah, even more casual games like Balatro are proof of that, despite how easily you can port a game of that nature otherwise, people will choose to use proton because it’s still able to sync with their progress and symlinking is too inconvenient to consider unless you’re running like 2gb ram or something.

Well, if we assume American-Chinese foods are based upon what’s available to make authentic dishes, then Chine-Mex is the equivalent for South US(border region mostly) and Mexico. Stuff like cilantro in egg rolls or avocado fried rice! Here’s a nice supplemental NPR Article: npr.org/…/the-chinese-mexican-cuisine-born-of-u-s…

Yeah, but at least they have high sugar warnings on their beverages, so it’s likely nothing compared to what the US does with the only metric measured bottles available in the region (which are typically much cheaper too).
